Number of Attempts
A candidate who has attempted the JKPSC Preliminary Exam is deemed to have attempted the JKPSC KAS exam.
All the candidates are given a total of 6 attempts.
However, this restriction of 6 attempts is not applicable to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates.
Candidates of Social Castes, RBA, and ALC are given 9 attempts instead of 6.
A candidate who wishes to apply should ensure that they are domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir. They must hold a domicile certificate on 15th April 2022, and such certificate should have been issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format.
The applicant must be a graduate from any recognised University in India or a foreign university that is equivalent to a recognised university.
