SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2022: Selection Procedure
The SBI Clerk Selection Process as per the SBI Clerk exam notification includes 2 stages as mentioned below:
- Preliminary Round
- Mains Round
These 2 rounds will be followed by a local language test which is to be held prior to selection. We have discussed this in our blog, further.
A candidate must qualify for both the preliminary exam and mains exam to proceed to the Language Proficiency round. The candidates selected after the Language Proficiency round are given the appointment letter.
SBI Clerk Exam pattern:
The SBI Clerk 2022 selection process will consist of two online tests i.e. preliminary & main examination and a test of specified opted local language. SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam and the Mains Exam dates have been announced with the release of the SBI Clerk 2022 Notification. Prelims exam will be conducted in the month of November 2022. SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern
The SBI Clerk prelims exam will consist of 100 questions. A total of 60 minutes are provided to solve the question paper. The SBI Clerk Prelims exam will be divided into three sections i.e. English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Here is the brief table about the SBI Clerk prelims exam pattern.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2022 Important Points
- There will be separate timings for each section.
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- No minimum qualifying marks for the individual subjects as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed.
- The adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies.

The SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2022 will consist of 100 questions. A total of 2 hours and 40 minutes are provided to solve the question paper. The SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2022 will be divided into four sections i.e. English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General/ Financial Awareness, and Computer and Reasoning Ability. SBI Clerk Mains Exam 2022 Important Points
- 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
- The questions will be available in both Hindi and English except in the English Language section.
- Merit list will be drawn from State wise, and category-wise.
- Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.
