The SSC has issued a notification on 17th July 2021 for the recruitment to the post of Constable General Duty. There are 25271 vacancies available. The selection process comprises an online test, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Medical examination, and document verification. To be eligible to apply for the job, the candidate must be an Indian National. The SSC GD Constable Eligibility also demands that the candidate be a Matriculate or have passed class 10 of some recognized Board/ university and should be between 18 and 23 years of age. The candidate should meet all the SSC GD Constable Eligibility criteria listed below to qualify for recruitment.
Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
SSC GD Constable Age Limit
The candidate should be between 18 to 23 years of age as of 1st August. The following relaxations are provided to the reserved categories

The candidates must have cleared Matriculation or 10th class examination from a recognised board/ university.
Physical Standards
For Male & Female Candidate
If you wish to apply for the Constable General Duty post, it is important to meet the required physical standards and measurements. There are 2 types of Staff Selection Commission General Duty Constable Physical tests. The PET and the PST. The candidate has to clear both these tests to move ahead in the recruitment process:
Height for Male Candidate: 170 cm
Height for Female Candidate: 157 cm
