UGC NET Syllabus For Paper I & II - Complete Details

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC- NET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency twice a year. The UGC NET 2022 application forms will be available very soon. This National Level Eligibility Test is being conducted to fill vacancies for the post of Asst. Professor, and Junior Research fellowship & assistant Professor in various Indian Universities. Here we will provide you with the relevant information of the UGC NET Syllabus.

UGC NET 2022: Important Dates

The UGC NET 2022 notiification has been released on 30 April 2022. Candidates can apply for the exam till 20th May 2022 upto 5pm. The detailed UGC NET date sheet containing paper-wise and subject-wise exam dates and time has also been released by the NTA.

UGC NET Examination Pattern

  • The UGC NET examination will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • All the questions in both Papers will be of multiple-choice type.
  • The total number of questions will be 150
  • The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • Paper 1 will consist of questions from common subjects
  • Paper 2 will cover questions from the subject chosen by you.
  • In Paper 2, you will be given questions from 81 subjects chosen by you.
