UGC NET Syllabus 2023: The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC- NET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency twice a year. UGC NET 2023 will be conducted from the 13th to the 22nd of June 2023. This National Level Eligibility Test is being conducted to fill vacancies for the post of Asst. Professor, and Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor in various Indian Universities. Here we will provide you with the relevant information about the UGC NET Syllabus 2023.

UGC NET 2023 Syllabus - Important Dates

The UGC NET 2023 exam will be held from the 13th of June to the 22nd of June 2023. The application process is from 10th to 31st May 2023. The following table will be updated with the release of the notification.

UGC NET Syllabus 2023 - Exam Pattern

  • The UGC NET examination will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • All the questions in both Papers will be of multiple-choice type.
  • The total number of questions will be 150
  • The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • Paper 1 will consist of questions from common subjects
  • Paper 2 will cover questions from the subject chosen by you.
  • In Paper 2, you will be given questions from 81 subjects chosen by you.
