XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria

XAT 2022 Eligibility: The XAT 2022 eligibility criteria is prescribed by the XLRI, Jamshedpur, the XAT conducting body. The XAT 2022 eligibility criteria is based on the factors such as age limit, nationality, educational qualification etc. In this blog, we will be getting to know about the XAT 2022 eligibility criteria and the various factors that it depends upon.

Candidates looking to appear for XAT 2022 must first check the eligibility criteria to appear for XAT 2022.

The eligibility criteria of XAT which is applicable across institutes covered under XAT and other management colleges accepting XAT scores for admission are as follows:

Age Limit

The XAT 2022 eligibility criteria have relaxed the restrictions on age, i.e there is no age bar for candidates who want to appear for XAT 2022.

Educational Qualification

  • The educational qualification for XAT 2022 eligibility criteria is that candidates should have completed a 3-year degree or equivalent from a recognised university.
  • Final year students who are appearing for final exams till the 2nd week of June 2021 can also apply provided they are able to submit degree certificates by the end of the admission year.
  • There is no restriction on the minimum percentage of marks required to apply for XAT 2022.

Nationality

The XAT 2022 eligibility criteria for nationality is that apart from Indian candidates, any NRI or foreign candidate can apply for XAT 2022 with a valid GMAT score. 

XAT Exam 2022 - Selection Process

The exam conducting board selects students for these post-graduation courses based on three stages;

  3. Personal Interview

Application Fees for XAT 2022 Exam

The application fee is as follows:

  1. INR 1800 (without late charges)
  2. Candidates applying for the XLRI program(s) need to pay an additional Rs.300 for each program.
  3. INR 2500 (Indian Candidates applying for Ex-PGDM through GMAT)
  4. INR 5000 (NRI or Foreign Candidates applying for one or multiple programs via GMAT)

Note 1: There will be no negative marking for the General Knowledge section.

How many times does XAT is conducted in a year?

XAT is conducted once a year.

How many stages does the XAT Exam have? +

The XAT Exam will have 3 stages. The first is an online objective test followed by Group Discussion & then Personal Interview.

Is there any negative marking for the online Objective Questions for the XAT Exam? +

In the objective questions, any wrong response will result in a 0.25-point deduction. There is also a negative marking if there are eight unattempted questions in a sequence.

What methods will be used to finalise the XAT merit list? +

XAT Merit List is determined by adding all of the candidates’ scores from all phases of the selection process.

Can a third-year degree student apply for XAT? +

Yes, you can apply for XAT, if you are enrolled in a three-year degree course, and you are in the final year of your course.

How many sections are there in XAT Online Exam? +

XAT Online exam has 4 sections:
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, General Knowledge
